Holiday (Holy Day) Updates

Holiday originally stood for Holy Days, so if people want to just say Happy Holidays, we can say, "Great, we celebrate God's Holy Days too!" Just a thought.

I am going to try to get updated with past pictures, so hang in there with me, I need to get caught up.

I am posting some pictures of Thanksgiving with our family. We spent the day at VaVa's. The kids had fun playing with one another and the meal was excellent as usual.

Little Indians

We had a Thanksgiving homeschooling party the week before Thanksgiving and had to dress up as Pilgrims or Indians. We used the Ruvacalba's costumes. I put the wig on Robert to make him a little warrior boy...I couldn't stop laughing, they were all too cute.

A Day in the Vinyard Part III

This is my final set of pictures. I have taken way too long to post these, but I like to post in an orderly fashion and thus I needed to finish this before I can move on to our other events from these past weeks. I hope to take a few moments today and post a bunch of stuff to get caught up, Lord willing. I have Thanksgiving, the kiddos choir concert, and the Christmas parade... Oh and we are decorating the house and tree today! I will have pictures from that too. So much to do and so little time!

Our last excursion of the day was to the MacMurray ranch. This was my favorite, as you will see from the many, many photos! I loved the beautiful trees and the adorable ranch house on the property. I could just look at the beauty of God's creation all day!

I am finished! Now on to changing some diapers, nursing the baby, maybe starting a post, and decorating the tree... Oh and I need to start the dishwasher now!
I could list a few more things, but you get the picture. May all I do today be for God's glory!

A Day In The Vinyard Part II

I am finally able to post some more about our trip to Sonoma...I have too many pictures, but I enjoyed taking them and I want to share the beauty of the day.

The Frei Ranch house was surrounded by beautiful fall colors.

Our lunch was described as just some tri-tip... It was yum-o.

I have to make a part III because there is just not enough time to post it all today! So off to the MacMurray ranch in my next post!

God bless you all and I hope you enjoyed a wonderful Thanksgiving!

A Day in the Vinyard Part I

Muffie and I were blessed with the opportunity to fly to Santa Rosa last Friday and tour the Gallo Family private Frei and MacMurray Ranches. Thank you to our husbands, Bill and Bobby, who made this day possible for us!
As you can see from the pictures, it was a beautiful day! We had such a good time enjoying God's creation.
The day started at the Sky Trek Executive terminal in Modesto with our flight at 8:25am. We showed up at 8:15 and were the first in our group of 8 to arrive. This is the way to fly, no check in, no waiting, just a plane waiting for us outside the door, all we needed to do was board and take off.

The flight to Santa Rosa was about 30 minutes and it was an unusually clear day, so we could see SF and the Golden Gate nicely.

Here we are in front of our awaiting tour bus. I joked with Muffie that we might need to invest in a vehicle this size to shuttle our two families around together!

We began our tour at the Frei Ranch house. The house was paneled with wood from the aging barrels. It was a beautiful setting.

Muffie is here studying the map they gave us of the Sonoma and Napa valley Gallo vinyards.

Next was a tour into the heart of the Frei Ranch vinyard, I don't have to mention again how beautiful the day was, you can see for youself...

How convenient, a table set up in the middle of the vinyard for tasting, they thought of everything.

I loved the colors of the leaves, so I took many, many pictures of them...

Next we were back at the Frei Ranch house for a delicious tri tip lunch... coming up next in Part II. (This is getting a little long and I am getting complaints that I have not posted anything lately, and I have a lot more photos to go!!!) So check back tomorrow for part II.
