Triple Bunk Bed
We finally made it. A triple bunk! We integrated it into the wall, each section has their own lighting and plugs. Will loves his top bunk, and it’s not too tall for me to turn off the lights or make the bed if needed. We also built a staircase type ladder, so easy to climb. I am amazed at all the space we have in the room and the beds are so neat and tidy. Love this!

All the boys. We love our new beds!!
I have the building phases around here somewhere... if I find them, I will post. But don't hold your breath!
Praise God for His blessings!

Hi, we have three boys, and are planning to built a built in tripple bunk. Could you please share any plans, tips warnings. I want to make it right and yours is so wonderful!
We love it! I made sure each cubbie had enough space so we measured the spacing from a regular bunk bed to make sure the boys had enough growth room. I took a double built in picture that was made into 2 built ins on one wall. I showed the look I wanted to our contractor and he came up with a sturdy design with the look I was wanting. This thing is very strong... so much better than just a regular bunk. Also, make sure each section has it's own light, and plug... for future growth as well. I was thinking of adding in a cubbie integrated into the wall with the plug inside that to hold books and such, but I am going to add a little book wall unit in soon. You are going to love it. We also made a stair type ladder so as to not make it so steep. It works nicely on the end and I even feel fine going up and down it. Measure the unit to your matress with enough spacing to tuck in your sheet and bedding, it works great when everything is spaced right and making the bed is really easy when it fits perfectly. I would buy your mattresses before you start to make sure you have the right sizing. Hope this helps!
It does help some, can you share pictures of the process?
Thank you.
I love this design. How tall are your ceilings? I would love to get the plans for your bed. Are you sharing that? Thanks. sj dot amber at gmail dot com.
Would love to get a copy of the plans. I am trying to build similar beds but am having difficulty getting the stability I desire. Could you email them to me?

They are beautiful.
I don't have any plans! So sorry. I hired our contractor friend to build them because I was concerned about having them be sturdy enough. So this was their design based off of my simple drawing and pictures off pinterest of double designs. He came up with the rest. I had just asked that they integrated and looked like furniture as well as having crown and baseboards around for the finishing touch. I hope this helps! For a triple I would recommend getting a professional to help just to make them safe. We also measured our girls existing spacing on their regular bunk to make sure we made these with enough height for the boys. I also made sure there were plugs and lighting in each cubbie.
These are fantastic and I am hoping to have something similar built for my boys. Can you just tell me how tall your ceilings are? Thanks!
About how much did this project cost you? I know you had a friend as your contractor, but I'm trying to get an estimate for materials, etc.
Also, did you use special bunk bed mattresses or regular matresses? We have 3 girls and they each have their own bed, but they share a room and the beds take up the entire room.
Looks like I'm very late to this party, but just in case you're still checking the comments: how tall are your ceilings?
I've been combing the internet for bunks for my 3 boys, and these are THE most awesome. But they look like they are 12 feet tall (I'm not so good with the spacial stuff!)
